The dream of well - educated and like minded people who had headed administrative positions in social, cultural & university activities resulted in the founding of Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust in the year 2000. As part of the government's new education policy, the trust started a new Arts & Science college and later on with the genuine efforts of all the members, the TRUST could establish a B.Ed college, Teacher Training Institute, Dental college,Paramedical College,Womens Engineering College and now a Co-Ed Engineering College under the chairmanship of Shri. K. M.Pareeth. The general secretary of the trust is Dr.K.P.Shiyas. The Convener of the Academic Committee of the colleges is Adv. K. R. Sadasivan Nair (Former Senate member, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam) Mr.Shibu.K.P is the Managing Director of the group of institutions run by the trust.
